Outdoor Adventure
Alpine Tower
Standing at just over 50 feet tall, the Greenstein Family Alpine Climbing Tower gives campers the chance to challenge themselves to reach new heights. Combining elements of both high and low challenge courses, our Alpine Tower has the capacity to have up to 6 people climbing at a time.

Canoe Trips
Overnight canoe trips are offered to our older campers who want to experience the outdoors. Campers, led by our experienced tripping staff, paddle and hike through some of the most beautiful scenery of the Stillaguamish River.
Hiking Trips
The wonderful trails scattered along Camp Kalsman’s 300 acres allow for hiking experiences for all ages.
Island Adventures
Our younger campers receive a taste of over-night camping on the island in the middle of our very own Butterfly Lake. After a short canoe trip, campers will cook their own dinner and enjoy activities around the campfire.
Teva (Nature)
Campers learn about nature and our Jewish commitment to the environment. Campers participate in building our Camp Kalsman gardens and orchards, learn about the plants and animals native to our surroundings.
Israel
Campcraft
Campers learn all of the campfire basics including safety, starting a fire, cooking on a fire, snd campsite maintenance. Favorite campfire snacks include corn on the cob, potatoes and s'mores.
Israeli Cultural Arts
This program allows its participants to experience the culture and day to day life of Israel. Our Israeli staff introduces campers to the food, clothing, music, dance and games that are native to Israel.
Creative Arts
Arts & Crafts
Arts and crafts is a program that allows campers to develop artistic skill and use their creativity and imagination in order to create keepsakes from their camp experience. Projects include shrink art, mosaic tiling, bracelets and tie-dye.
Pottery
Campers can make a variety of different ceramic projects in our pottery studio. They learn important techniques including wedging clay, using the wheel, glazing and firing.
Drama
Through games and activities, campers have the chance to take part in various aspects of Drama. This is a great place for a budding actor or actress, a stage veteran, or anyone in between.
Special Programs
Maccabiah
Maccabiah (Color War) is one of the most anticipated Camp Kalsman activities each session. It will start with a bang as the counselors and specialists unveil a memorable, surprise break. The entire camp is split into four teams that participate in a full day of competition including cheering, a giant relay race, sports competitions, and an arts presentation. Energy and excitement will consume the camp.
Yom Yisrael
Our I
sraeli staff will help bring Israel to camp for a day. Activities are centered on Israeli culture including music, dance, food and army experience.
Evening Programs
Evening programs occur almost every night after dinner for each unit. The counselors and specialists run a unique program specific for their unit. This is a great opportunity for units to come together for evenings of fun.
Chugim
Campers participate in our daily Chugim program, a period during the day where they choose their activity. Over the course of one session, campers have the opportunity to participate a number of different activities. Chugim include: creative writing, theater, mountain biking, alpine tower, sports clinics, and more.
Informal Jewish Education
One of the unique features of Camp Kalsman is the Informal Jewish Education component of our camp program. The setting, the staff, and the faculty provide a wonderful instrument for Jewish education. This element of the camp program, which weaves itself into our activities at Camp, succeeds in creating positive, knowledgeable and engaged Jews.
